Little of this and that!

I really need to make 30 minutes to come here and post!

Well, I found this neat program on my computer called speech recognition that is supposed to type what I say, but I can only get it to work on the samples given in the tutorial!  A lot of good that is! I type pretty quickly, but I speak more quickly and thought that would be fun to do, but I obviously need more tutoring!  The definition of irony!  LOL

Cody's batting cage and pitching machine came Thursday and Mike and Bobby just set it up yesterday!  I haven't been over to see it yet, but I hear it's a huge hit!  I'm so glad!  I think Cody is a good ball player who gets nervous when he bats and it was costing a fortune to go to the batting cage in town, so hopefully this will save money in the long run and make him more comfortable at the plate!  :)

I've already started working on some things for school.  I have a 10th grade student this year and I've never tutored that high before so I need to go through the information and highlight it so I can tutor it...so I'm learning about 10th grade biology now...amazing what you learn!  LOL

I went to my room yesterday to set it up and found that one of my bookcases had been broken by the floor cleaning crew.  My nice table had something sticky on it too that I'll have to clean up so I didn't get much done just cause I was irritated about those things, but I don't have much left to do to get set up anyway!  I'm not taking my computer and printer to school until the week of the 23rd.

I think I'd like to change my room from last year, but I can't figure out exactly how I want it...I think that's part of why I was not getting into setting up my room yet!  I will probably go over tomorrow afternoon and finish it up!  The maintenance man is going to look at my bookcase and try to fix it...I'm fairly certain it can be fixed, just an irritation!

  3. Hi Karen! Good luck with the new school year! Learning 10th grade Biology sounds like fun. I enjoyed life sciences. Is Cody your grandson? My daughter was a softball pitcher and went to the batting cages all the time. Those were fun times! (((Hugz)))
